In our breeding program, we use stallions from the best bloodlines from Portugal. We follow the APSL studbook breed standard for confirmation, temperament, and work ethic.
These are the stallions that have we have used for our current breeding stock.
Equador MVL – represented Portugal in 2021 Summer Olympics and contributed to the Portuguese team’s 6th place win. This was Portugal’s first time placing in Olympic dressage! His strong presence and athleticism made him an easy choice for breeding to our mares.
Unfortunately, Equador was taken too early from us. His passing is a great loss to the Lusitano community.
Jade II Da Sernadinha – Jade is currently showing in dressage here in the US. He is a strong stallion with impulsion, action and extension with a strong work ethic. His laid back temperament made him an excellent choice for our mares. You can see Jade at www.lusitanostud.com.
